Chargers Drop Two in Day Two of GHC Border Battle

The Chargers would not fare so well in the cold second day of the GHC Border Battle.  

The Chargers would drop game one 8-5 to Calhoun.  Haley Robinson would pick up her first loss of the season in the defeat.  The Chargers would be led by Deyonce Lewis who was 3-4 with two doubles, a triple, and an RBI.  Sierrah Gani and would also add two hits and a stolen base in the outing.  

The Chargers would fall short in a bottom of the 7th rally again Cleveland State losing 10-9 in the 3 hour affair.  Haley Robinson picked up her second loss of the day, despite a tremendous effort in less than ideal weather.  The Chargers were led offensively by Mya Adams, Kara Kight, and  Lexi Palazzo who each had three hits.  Sierrah Gani would also add three hits to improve her border battle batting average to 0.800 over four games earning 8 hits in 12 at bats.

The Chargers head to Gulf Shores on February 15th & 16th where they will take on top competition from Alabama to finish out the tournament portion of the season.
