Georgia Highlands College men’s basketball fell to Southern Crescent Technical College Wednesday night in Griffin, 89-86. It marks the first back-to-back losses for the Chargers since November and drops them to 4-3 in the GCAA.
GHC actually led at halftime, but the Tigers hung around long enough to pull ahead in the last couple of minutes. Cameron Baldwin (Allatoona HS) had a chance to tie it with a last-second shot, but it rimmed out of the basket, sealing the win for SCTC. Josh Cooper (Trinity Prep HS) led the scoring for the Chargers with 18 points.
GHC is back in action on the road Saturday against East Georgia State. The two squads last faced each other back on January 20 in Rome, with the Georgia Highlands edging East Georgia 79-78 in overtime.
