The Chargers closed out their last game before to Holiday break with a 103-102 loss at the Corral versus the Raiders of Roane State. THe Chargers got off to a slow start trailing Roane State by 10 points at the 13:28 mark of the first half. The Chargers fought back to take their first lead of the game at the 6:00 minute mark of the first half and held on to take the lead into halftime 50-49. The second half was a back in fourth battle with 13 lead changes and the score was tied 9 times. GHC led by as many as 7 points but the Radiers battled back to cut the lead to 1 with 8 seconds remaining. The Chargers had to inbound the ball under the Raiders basket eventually getting the ball in play but the Raiders stole the ball and scored to take a 103-102 lead with 3 seconds remaining. The Chargers desperation shot fell short for the loss.
The Chargers were led by Carl Johnson's 27 points, followed by Chris Wright with 23, Khalyl Waters with 20 points and 8 rebounds, and Derrick Cook with 16. The Chargers (10-2) return to action on December 30th at home versus ASA, tip off 1:00pm.
