The Chargers traveled to North Carolina for day one of the Cape Fear College Tournament and came away with a 85-73 win over the #24 NJCAA ranked Sea Devils of Cape Fear College. The Chargers knew going in that they would have to be on task to beat the Sea Devils and the Chargers came through with 3 players in double digits, led by Khalyl Waters with 19 points, Cahiem Brown with 17, and Derrick Cook with 12.
"This was a great team win over a #24 NJCCA Nationally ranked team on the road, proud of the way our guys responded," said Coach Gaffney. The Chargers return to action on Saturday in game two of the tournament as they take on Brunswick College, tip off 3:00pm.
